Uses
Benz Pearls is prescribed to treat coughs caused by common colds and several other conditions such as asthma, pneumonia, bronchitis, and emphysema. It works by numbing the stretch receptors in the respiratory passages.

Dosage and administration
Dose as instructed by your doctor. Dosage will vary depending on your condition. Do not change your dosage without consulting your doctor beforehand. Do not start taking, stop taking, or change the dosage of any other medication you may be taking.

To be taken orally, either with or without food. Swallow whole without chewing or sucking. This is to ensure the medication does not begin its slow release whilst still in the mouth, as this can present certain risks such as serious allergic reaction.

The medication normally takes effect roughly 15 minutes after administration, and lasts for several hours.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If, however, it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue from the next dose as normal. Never double up a dosage to make up for a missed previous one.

• Hallucinations
• Nausea

• Abnormal mood changes
• Burning feeling in the eyes
• Numbness in the chest area

Precautions
Prior to taking Benz Pearls, inform your doctor if any of the following apply to you.

• You have any allergies
• You are currently taking any other medication, dietary supplements, or herbal products
• You are either pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast feeding

Until you know how Benz Pearls affects you, refrain from driving or operating heavy and dangerous machinery.

If you suspect you have overdosed immediately proceed to your nearest accident and emergency department.
