Biselect® | Biselect (Bisoprolol Fumarate) - 5mg (10 Tablets)

Uses
This medication is generally used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It acts as a beta blocker, reducing the workload on the heart, which in turn helps the heart to beat more regularly.

Dosage and administration
Always follow the dosage prescribed to you by your physician. Never change your dosage unless you have been advised to do so. If you wish to stop taking the medication consult your physician. Never abruptly stop taking Biselect.

Tablets are taken orally, alongside a full glass of water. They can be taken with or without food.

While taking this medication you should have regular heart rate and blood pressure checks.

For 30 minutes after dosing avoid sudden quick movements such as sitting up from a laying position and vice versa. Doing this will reduce the risks of experiencing dizziness and/or faintness.

Side effects
Common side effects which are normally safe are listed below. Report any you experience to your physician, especially if they are persistent or worrying.

• Anxiety
• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Dry or burning eyes
• Headaches
• Depression
• Changes in labido

The following side effects are more serious and should be reported immediately to your physician.

• Irregular or slow heartbeat
• Swelling
• Abnormal muscle aches
• Confusion
• Sweating
• Tremors
• Vomiting

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Signs can include severe itching, hives, swelling, rashes, chest tightness or pains, and difficulty breathing.

Precautions
Before taking Biselect inform your physician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have any allergies, have any other existing medical conditions or illnesses, or if you are taking any other medication, whether prescription, non-prescription, vitamins, or supplements.

Do not take Biselect if you are also taking Sotalol or any medicine which controls heart rhythm or high blood pressure.

If you are diabetic this medication may be unsafe for your use. Consult your physician for more information.

As Biselect can cause dizziness and weakness, you are very strongly advised to avoid driving, operating any heavy machinery, or participate in any other activities which require good concentration until you are fully aware of how your body reacts the medication

Never share this medication with anybody else, even if they suffer from the same condition as you.
