Details Canesten Vaginal Cream Generic Name: Clotrimazole 30gm Tube of Vaginal Cream Manufactured by Bayer Use Canesten Cream is used to treat recurrent candidiasis (yeast infections). Canesten cream's anti-mycotic and fungicidal properties are able to relieve the itching and discomfort associated with candidiasis. Dosage Each tube contains exactly 6 doses of cream. The cream is applied by filling the applicator with the cream and inserting the applicator into the vagina and releasing the cream. The cream is usually applied once daily but can be applied twice daily if required for up to 6 days in total. Side Effects Some people find that localized irritations or burning sensations occur after using Canesten. These side effects are usually mild and the patient should not be concerned. Other people have reported lower abdominal cramping and increased urine output after taking Canesten. Precautions It is not usually recommended for use during the first 3 months of pregnancy.
