Uses
This drug may be used as treatment against heart failure and high blood pressure, it can also increase the chances of survival for those who have had heart attacks.

Carloc (Carvedilol) works by blocking certain types of chemicals which reduces the hearts workload, this allows it to recover more efficiently.

This drug is an alpha and beta blocker, it is non selective and may be used with other anti hypertensive drugs as well as on its own.

Dosage & Administration
Take Carloc (Carvedilol) according to your physicians directions without changing the prescription as doing so much result in unwanted side effects.

This medicine is commonly prescribed twice daily, taken at the same times per day and consumed with food and plenty of water.

  Side Effects
Some of the more common side effects include:

Asthenia, hypoglycemia and hypotension
Fatigue
Stomach upsets such as diarrhea
Dizziness
Unexplained weight gain
Changes in your vision, possible abnormal

The following are serious side effects. If experienced you should seek immediate medical attention.

Tingly or numb sensations
Blue fingers / toes
Bruising and/or bleeding easily
Irregular heart beat (or may be slow)
Mood changes
Unusual thirst, hunger
Changes in urination
Seizures
Severe dizziness, weakness or feeling faint
Painful chest
Sweating more than normal
Trouble breathing/swallowing, rashes, hives, itchiness and swelling (could be an allergic reaction)

Precautions
Inform your physician if any of the following apply to you.

You are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breast-feeding
Allergies to medicines or foods
Asthma as well as any respiratory conditions
Diabetes as this medicine can mask hypoglycemia (closer supervision of blood glucose levels is recommended)
Conditions linked to the heart, kidney, muscles, thyroid or any circulation problems
Any tumors / cancers
Mental conditions or mood disorders

Always notify your physician before prematurely ending your course of medicine as you may need to slowly reduce the dose rather than abruptly stop.

Until you are aware of how severe your side effects are, avoid operating dangerous machinery or driving as this medication may make you less alert or dizzy.

This drug can increase the effects of alcohol, avoiding drinking where possible, and limit how much you drink whilst taking this medication.

Inform your physician that you are taking Carloc (Carvedilol), before undergoing any surgery (including dental surgery) as other drugs may interfere or interact with this medicine.
