Uses
Catapres (Clonidine) is an alpha-agonist which is used to reduce heightened blood pressure. While it is usually prescribed to patients suffering from high blood pressure (hypertension), it may also be prescribed for other uses as determined by your physician.
This medication works by relaxing the blood vessels and allowing blood to flow more easily. Easier blood movement reduces blood pressure, which also decreases risks such as heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems.
