Uses
Cholergol (Nicergoline) is used to treat senile dementia and other vascular conditions such as thrombosis and atherosclerosis, arterial blockages in the limbs, Raynaud's disease, vascular migraines, and retinopathy. It is also used as anti-aging medication by elderly patients due to its positive effects on cognitive, affective, and behavioral disorders. In addition, mental agility and perception skills and clarity are improved due to increasing arterial blood flow inside brain which brings increased oxygen and glucose levels.

Dosage and Administration
The most commonly advised dosage of Cholergol (Nicergoline) is 5mg to 10mg, taken between 1 and 3 times per day. For best results, dose at the same time(s) each day.

Side effects
The following side effects may be experienced by patients using Cholergol (Nicergoline):

• Nausea
• Hot flushes
• Mild gastric upset
• Hypotension
• Dizziness

The following side effects may be experienced by patients using this medication at higher doses or for extended periods of time:

• Bradycardia
• Agitation
• Diarrhea
• Increased appetite
• Increased perspiration
• Interstitial nephritis

Precautions
If you have an allergic or hypersensitive reaction, seek emergency medical attention. Possible symptoms include difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing, swelling, chest tightness, skin rashes, and hives.
