Use
Ciclospray Nasal Spray (Ciclesonide) is prescribed to manage the symptoms of nasal allergies, such as seasonal allergies and allergic rhinitis. It may also be prescribed for patients with asthma and other conditions as determined by your physician.
It is suitable for use by adults and children aged 6 years plus. If used to treat year round allergies/conditions, it is only suitable for children aged 12 plus. If in doubt, always consult your physician.
Dosage and Administration
Correct dosage will vary depending on the individual and the condition being treated. Always follow your prescription and any additional instructions provided by your physician.
The typical dose prescribed is 2 sprays per nostril per day, totaling 200mcg per day.
Side Effects
Possible side effects for patients using Ciclospray include the following. Report all side effects to your physician, and if any persist, worse, or worry you, do so urgently.
- Headaches
- Nosebleeds
- Throat infections
- Nose infections
- Sore throat
- Ear pains
- Acne
- Weight gain
- Menstruation changes
Precautions
Children using Ciclospray need to be closely monitored as it can inhibit or slow growth in some rare cases.
Before you begin taking Ciclospray always ensure your physician is aware if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and always disclose complete details of any of the following:
- Any allergies you have
- Any other existing medical conditions, disorders, or illnesses which you have
- Any other prescription medication or off-the-shelf medication you take
- Any supplements, vitamins, or herbal products you use
