Use
Cymbalta is a dual selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SSNRI) for the treatment of depression. Studies have shown encouraging results specifically with pain induced and melacholic depressives. While other studies have shoen that Cymbalta can also be effective in the treatment of urinary incontinence in women.
Dosage
Typically, most patients are prescribed 1 Cymbalta capsule per day. However, you should only use Cymbalta as directe by your physician. Do not stop taking Cymbalta without first consulting your physician.
Side Effects
For most patients, the occurrence of side effects after taking Cymbalta is rare. However some patients may experience nausea, a dry mouth or sleeplessness after taking this medication.
A study on the effects of Cymbalta has reported that some patients may also experience a slight decrease in appeitite during the course of treatment.
Precautions
Taking Cymbalta alongside other medicines can lead to serious or unwanted side effects. You should contact your physician or other medical professional if you are taking any other medications. In particular, you should not take Cymbalta is you have taken a MAO Inihibitor in the last 14 days. You should also tell you physician if you have a history of liver disease as this condition may alter the prescribed course treatment.
