Uses
Cynomycin (Minocycline) is a tetracycline antibiotic used primarily to treat acne. It is also used to treat numerous bacterial infections, especially those caused by gram positive and negative bacteria.

This medication is suitable for both adult patients and children of at least 8 years of age.

Dosage and Administration
Strictly use as you have been prescribed. The correct dosage depends on the patient being treated.

Dosing is recommended alongside a full glass of water, and after a snack or meal. Capsules must be swallowed whole without breaking or splitting the capsule. Aim to dose at the same time each day for best results.

Leave a gap of at least 2 hours between taking this medication and taking any other medication containing calcium, aluminum, or magnesium. 

Side effects
Report all side effects to your physician. Possible side effects include:

• Nausea
• Drowsiness
• Dizziness
• Upset stomach
• Diarrhea
• Constipation
• Vomiting
• Coughing
• Mouth sores

Seek immediate medical attention if you suffer from any of the following:

• Muscle pain
• Abnormal tiredness
• Chills
• Fevers
• Vision changes
• Hearing changes
• Swelling
• Rashes
• Chest pains
• Difficulty breaking
• Difficulty swallowing

Precautions
Cynomycin (Minocycline) is not suitable for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Patients with impaired kidney function may be prescribed a reduced dosage. Always consult your physician in this situation.

Before you begin using Cynomycin (Minocycline), always disclose the following to your physician:

• All other medication you are taking (including all off-the-shelf medicine, supplements, and herbal products).
• All other medical conditions or illnesses which you suffer from (especially diabetes and any liver of kidney conditions of any kind).
• Any allergies you suffer from.
