Uses
Duolin (Ipratropium Bromide/Levosalbutamol) is a respiratory inhaler used to treat various respiratory conditions, including bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, and bronchospasm. It is worth noting that this medication is used to manage these conditions by reducing the severity of side effects and the risk of attacks, however it they will not be cured.
Dosage and administration
Always use Duolin (Ipratropium Bromide/Levosalbutamol) as you have been prescribed. Correct dosage will vary depending on the condition and the patient being treated.
The following is administration guide is provided merely as a rough guideline. Always administer doses as your physician has instructed you.
- Breathe out deeply and place your lips around the inhaler's mouthpiece.
- Inhale sharply while pressing down on the canister to release a dose.
- Hold your breath for approximately 10 seconds, remove your lips from the mouthpiece, and exhale.
- Finally, wipe the mouthpiece and recap.
If you have been prescribed more than one inhalation per dose, leave a gap of at least 15 seconds between inhalations.
Keep track of how many sprays of a canister you have used. When a canister has been used 200 times, dispose of it and start using a fresh new canister.
It is recommended that you wash and dry the inhaler roughly once a week.
When the inhaler has not been used for a few days, you will need to prime it prior to use. To do this, simply spray two test sprays into the air before dosing.
Side effects
Report all side effects of Duolin (Ipratropium Bromide/Levosalbutamol) to your physician. If any start to worry you, immediately contact your physician or health provider for prompt advice. Side effects which have been reported include:

Precautions
