It contains the same active ingredient as Propecia but at much less cost. It works by inhibiting an enzyme that changes testosterone into dihydrotestosterone or DHT. The increase levels of DHT are believed to be a contributing factor men's hairloss. Finast is also used to treat the condition known as benign prostate hyperplasia or BPH.
