Uses
Kelo-cote gel can be used to treat scars by reducing pain, itching, and discomfort, whilst also reducing the scar's appearance making it less noticeable. It is a silicone based gel which is self-drying, odorless, and transparent when applied. When used, it leaves a thin, flexible and breathable layer over your skin which lasts for roughly 12 hours. It can be administered over large areas, including joints and hairy areas of skin.
As well as general scars, it may also be sued to help heal hypertrophic and keloid scars which result from surgery, trauma, burns, and pregnancy. This product is suitable for both adults and children, and even for those with sensitive skin.
Dosage and administration
Always use as prescribed by your physician. Never self-medicate yourself.
Typically you will be advised to use Kelo-Cote Scar Gel in the following manner. Please note that this is only meant as a general guide.
- Clean the area you will apply the gel using clean, warm water, and leave to dry.
- Apply the gel directly to the skin, squeezing out a thin layer
- Leave the gel uncovered for 5 minutes to dry
For best results keep the scar being treated continuously covered with gel. To do this, apply once during the morning, and once in the evening. The gel's effects last for 12 hours.
Side effects
Kelo-Cote is generall very well tolerated by most with little to no ill symptoms when administered properly. If you do experience any adverse effects, always inform your physician promptly.
Precautions
Before using Kelo-Cote Scar Gel, always ensure you physician is aware of any other medication you are using, any other conditions or illnesses you have, any allergies you have, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Keep away from direct sunlight in a dry place at room temperature. |
