Uses
Largactil is an antipsychotic drug used to treat disorders like schizophrenia. It is commonly also referred to as a tranquilizer.
It helps manage symptoms such as agitation, anger, aggression, anxiety, nervousness, violence, and mood swings. It also helps nausea and vomiting. It does this by affecting the communication between brain cells and halting the activity of particular receptors, such as the dopamine receptors.
Dosage and administration
Take exactly as prescribed by your physician. Do not change any part of your prescription or share it with others, even if they share the same symptoms as you.
Alcohol can interfere with the effects of Largactil. Do not drink alcohol whilst taking this medication.
Side effects
Inform your physician of any side effects you experience when taking Largactil. Examples include:
- Feeling drowsy
- Thirst
- Skin rash(s)
- Muscles spasms along the back
- Inability to talk normally or swallow
Precautions
Always tell your physician if any of the following conditions apply to you.
- You have any allergies
- You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or nursing an infant
- You suffer from epilepsy
- You have a history of any related diseases, such as liver disease, chest disease, kidney disease, or Parkinson's
- You have or have had any eye conditions, such as glaucoma
- You are using any other drugs, supplements, or vitamins
- You consume alcohol and/or tobacco
- You follow an abnormal diet of any kind
Do not drive or operate machinery which may be dangerous until you know exactly how this drug affects you. It has been known to cause both dizziness and drowsiness. Delivery Time: 7-14 Days
