Uses
Lenalid is a medication used to treat patients with a low red blood cell count, and who are anemic, caused by myelodysplastic syndrome. It is also used with a combination of drugs to treat multiple myeloma.
Dosage and administration
How much you take and how often will depend on the strength of the Lenalid and your condition. Lenalid is only available through a special program. Make sure you fully understand the instructions and the warnings associated with Lenalid before you start taking it. Take strictly as directed by your physician, with a glass of water, with or without food.
Do not alter your dose or suddenly stop taking Lenalid without consulting your physician, even if you are feeling better.
If you forget to take a dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never take a double dose to compensate for the one you missed.
It is extremely important that women do not become pregnant while taking Lenalid as it can cause birth defects in unborn children. Lenalid can also be passed on through sexual intercourse with a man who is taking the medication. Make sure to always use precautions when having sexual intercourse with pregnant women when taking Lenalid.
Side effects
As with all medications, Lenalid has the potential to cause side effects in some patients. Common side effects of Lenalid include headaches, vomiting, nausea, trouble sleeping coughing, dizziness, back pain, a dry mouth or skin, tiredness, loss or increased appetite, sweating or night sweats, and weakness. If these symptoms get worse or do not go away, contact your physician.
Rare side effects of Lenalid include severe unexplained weakness or tiredness, chills, bleeding or bruising, fever, stomach pains, muscle or joint pain, unusual shortness of breath, numbness, chest pain, and an allergic reaction. If you experience any of these symptoms, contact your physician immediately or seek emergency medical treatment.
Precautions
Do not take Lenalid if you are allergic to it or to any of its ingredients.
Tell your physician if you have allergies to any other medications, dyes, food, preservatives, or any other substances, if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding, and what other prescription, non-prescription, or herbal and dietary supplements you are taking.
Tell your physician if you are receiving dialysis, have a tumor, cancer, or kidney problems. Delivery Time: 7-14 Days
