Dosage and administration
How much you take and how often will depend upon the strength of the Lenalid and your condition. Lenalid is only dispensed through a special program so make sure you fully understand the instructions and all the warnings before you start taking it. Take strictly as directed by your physician, with or without food, alongside a glass of water.
Do not alter your dose or suddenly stop taking Lenalid without consulting your physician, even if you are feeling better. If you do, your symptoms may worsen and increase the onset of unwanted side effects.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never take a double dose to make up for the one you missed.
It is extremely important that women do not become pregnant while taking Lenalid. Lenalid can cause birth defects in unborn children. Lenalid can also be passed on by having sexual intercourse with a man who is taking the medication. Make sure to always use protection.
