Levorid® | Levorid (Levocetirizine) - 5mg (10 Tablets)

Uses
Levorid is an antihistamine that is non-drowsy and used to treat allergies such as hay fever. As well as treating the allergy itself, it can help to relieve the symptoms that are associated with allergic reactions, including symptoms such as watery eyes, sneezing, skin reactions, congested nose or runny nose, itching, swelling and rashes.

Dosage and administration
Use Levorid as suggested by your physician only. Do not change your physician's prescription as correct dosage is highly dependent on your own health condition, response to therapy, and other external factors your physician needs to assess.

Swallow each tablet whole, with or without food. Typical you will be instructed to take Levorid once a day in the evening.

If you miss a tablet, take as soon as you remember. Normally there should be a gap of 24 hours between each dose.

Children aged 6-11 should not be given more than 2.5mg in any 24 hour day.

When taking Levorid you should notice improvements fairly quickly. If your symptoms worsen or do not improve you should contact your physician as soon as you are able to.

Side effects
The most common side effects of Levorid are dry mouth, headaches, sleep disturbances, tiredness and drowsiness. It is worth noting however that these side effects affect less than 1 in 10 users of this medicine.

Other less common side effects include:

• Stomach pains
• Feeling unusually weak
• Itching
• Rashes
• Swelling
• Short breath
• Increase in weight
• Nausea

Contact your physician if you experience any side effects whether from the list or not.

Precautions
Inform your physician of any of the following which are apply to you.

• You are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breast feeding
• Any relevant medical condition such as problems with your liver or kidney, as well as epilepsy, blood disorders or glaucoma
• Any allergies you may have
• Any other drugs, supplements or vitamins you are using
• If you smoke or drink alcohol
