Uses
Micohex is a pet shampoo with medicinal benefits to help soothe skin problems. It is a broad spectrum medication which may be used by cats or dog, as well as horses, to treat ring worm malassezia and seborrhoeic dermatitis plus other more general conditions that are bacterial, fungi, mould or yeast based.
Dosage and administration
Use only according to instructions printed on the packaging, or as directed by your vet.
Do not over use this shampoo as doing so may cause further irritation and discomfort for your pet, as well as worsening the condition itself.
- Thoroughly wet your pet with warm water before applying some shampoo
- Rub the shampoo into your pet's fur and massage to help the medicine get deep into the skin
- Allow the medicinal shampoo to sit and absorb into your pet's skin for 10 minutes before rinsing off
- Repeat as necessary/instructed
Remember to cover areas such as under the tail, between the toes and around the mouth as these are typically problematic areas for germs.
Avoid shampooing near the eyes, ears or your pet's mouth as this will cause irritation. If this occurs wash with running cool water. If the irritation continues after this, speak to your vet as soon as possible.
If you are using the shampoo to treat pets for conditions which are contagious you may need to use it on all other pets that are in contact with the original one in case of contamination. If you are unsure, or require further advice, discuss this with your vet.
