Nilitis-500® | Nilitis-500 (Nabumetone) - 500mg (10 Tablets)

Uses
Nilitis-500 (Nabumetone) is given to help with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It does this by relieving symptoms such as pain and inflammation. It is an NSAID medication with anti-inflammatory effects whilst also being non-steroidal. It is less likely to cause gastrointestinal side effects relative to other NSAID drugs.

Dosage and administration
Strictly follow your physician's directions when using Nilitis-500. Do not self medicate or change your dosage as doing so could lead to severe side effects. A typical starting dose is dependent on the individual patient.

It is normally recommended that the medication be taken alongside a full glass of water. Take the tablet whole, do not crush, split, or chew tablets. For best results take the tablet(s) at the same time(s) each day.

Side effects
Promptly consult with your physician if you notice any side effects whilst using this drug as a lower dosage may help to lessen them. Some examples include:

• Ulcers
• Pain in the abdomen
• Cramps
• Feeling sick, nauseous, lightheaded
• Gastritis
• Severe gastrointestinal bleeding
• Internal bleeding (i.e. darkened tarry stools, feeling weak, dizzy)
• Liver toxicity
• Skin rashes
• Kidney decreasing in function
• Ringing in the ears
• Allergic reactions

Precautions
During your medical consultation, you should disclose any of the following which apply to you:

• You have any allergies
• You have any current conditions, especially asthma, diabetes, kidney/liver/heart conditions, stomach/intestinal/esophagus/hydration/blood clotting/blood pressure/bleeding conditions/strokes/edema/nasal polyps/anemic, or if you any recent surgery such as a heart bypass.
• If you are pregnant or breast feeding.
• You smoke or drink alcohol
• If you use sun beds

If you have any upcoming surgical procedures or dental work always tell your surgeon/dentist you are taking Nilitis.

Avoid driving or operating any dangerous machinery while taking Nilitis until you know exactly how it affects you, as it is known to cause drowsiness and dizziness in many patients.
