Uses
Novalgin is used in the treatment of pains of different origin and variable intensity such as toothache, headache, visceral pain or high fever. It is also prescribed for people having severe pain after operations and the pain associated with neoplastic disease or colicky pain.

Dosage and administration
The recommended dose is 250 to 500mg, 2 or 3 times a day in adults. It should not exceed 3g within one day and not more than the prescribed dose recommended by your physician.

Always take Novalgin at regular interval without any missing and overdosing even a single dose. Missed dose will decrease the effectiveness of Novalgin and overdosing can create lots of unwanted problems.

Side effects

• agranulocytosis / leucopenia / thrombocytopenia
• asthmatic attacks / anaphylactic shock
• urticaria / Quincke's edema
• proteinuria / interstitial nephritis / rashes

Precaution
Novalgin should be used with caution in patients having known history for hypersensitivity to foods and drugs and particularly to analgesic and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent, in patients suffering from bronchial asthma, Quincke's edema, chronic pulmonary infections, hypotension and unstable blood pressure.

Prior to the medication, the blood pressure and the heart rate should be monitored and regular blood count necessary to check.
