Uses
Oframax is a cephalosporin antibiotic primarily used as a short-term treatment for bacterial infections. It works by the preventing further reproduction of the bacterial cells, allowing the immune system to fight the infection.
It is important to note that this medication is not effective in treating viral infection.
Dosage & Administration
Always follow the instructions provided by your physician. Oframax is an injection administered by a health care professional in a hospital, health centre, or physician’s surgery. Strictly follow the instructions you have been given by your physician.
It is very important that patients complete the full course of antibiotics prescribed to them, as the infection can relapse far stronger if not totally eliminated the first time.
Side Effects
Patients have reported their skin swelling up, appearing red, and feeling sore, and/or become painful. These side effects are quite normal and should last for a short time only. If any persist, notify your physician as soon as possible.
Inform your physician promptly if you notice nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headaches, weakness or tiredness, confusion, darkened urine, abnormal bruising or bleeding, changes in appetite or heart rate, jaundice, seizures, symptoms of an infection, intestinal cramps, or intestinal pains.
Precautions
If you suffer an allergic or hypersensitive reaction, seek emergency medical attention. Signs to watch out for include trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling, hives, and skin rashes.
Before you begin using Oframax, always inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and always disclose full details of any of the following.
