Uses
Pencom is a long acting antibiotic injection which contains penicillin and treats and prevents a wide range of bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting further bacterial growth which prevents spreading to other parts of your body.

Dosage and administration
Pencom is typically injected into a large muscle by your physician at your local health clinic or hospital. The correct dose depends on your condition's severity as well as your body's response to the treatment.

You must attend all appointments scheduled for you as this medication is most effective when consistently in your system. Do not miss any injections as infections can persist symptomless and then relapse more severe than the first time.

Side effects
Report all side effects to your physician. Do so as soon as possible if any persist or worsen.

Possible mild side effects include nausea and vomiting. Patients may also experience pain and/or irritation at the site of the injection.

More severe side effects which require immediate medical attention are listed below:

• Headaches
• Severe nausea or diarrhea
• Severe tiredness
• Dizziness or fainting
• Seizures
• Symptoms of a new infection
• Muscles pains
• Joint pains
• Stiff joints and muscles
• Swelling
• Skin rashes
• Difficulty breathing
• Difficulty swallowing
• Changes to your vision
• Changes to your heartbeat or heart rate
• Changes to your urination or urine
• Abnormal bruising or bleeding
• Abnormal vaginal discharge
• Mood changes such as depression, irritation, or confusion

Precautions
Pencom may not be safe for all patients. Always inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and be sure to disclose full details of any of the following:
