It can help increase the chance of pregnancy in women who are having trouble conceiving. Dosage The usual dose is 50 mg once daily for 5 days, starting on the fifth day of the menstrual period. Women who do not have menstrual cycles can begin taking it on any convenient day. The dose may be increased gradually, up to a maximum of 250 mg a day.
