Uses
Pletoz is used to improve oxygen and blood circulation in the legs. It is predominantly used to reduce intermittent claudication symptoms, where patients suffer pains in their legs when walking which normally subsides with rest. This medication will help patients with this condition to walk for longer periods of time and for further distances by preventing certain blood cells (platelets) from clotting.

It does this by increasing blood flow and oxygen, which in turn helps to widen the blood vessels in the legs, reducing the amount of painful blood clots forming.

Dosage and administration
Always discuss with your physician the suitable dosage for you. Dosage can vary from patient to patient depending on several individual factors, including medical history, current condition, and other meds being taken.

Typically, recommended dosage is 50mg to 100mg taken 2 times a day. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after eating.

The effects of Pletoz may not be noticed fully until it has been used properly for 12 weeks, although signs of its effect are often seen sooner.

Side effects
Side effects which have been most commonly reported when using Pletoz include the following listed below.

• Short breath
• Chest or joint pains
• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Dizziness or weakness
• Flu symptoms
• Leg cramps
• Tingling sensations
• Painful and/or bloody urine
• Changes in your heart beat
• Swollen limbs

Precautions
While taking Pletoz, do not consume grapefruit or any food or drink made using grapefruit.

Before you start taking Pletoz, make sure your physician is aware if any of the following apply to you.

• You have any allergies.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You smoke or consume alcohol.
• You follow an unusual diet.
• You are taking any other medication, including non-prescription meds, supplements, and narcotics.
• You have any other medical conditions, especially any which are heart or blood related.
