Uses
Ranx is primarily used to treat chronic angina. It is used as a preventative and maintenance medication, and should not be used to treat severe emergency attacks of angina. It works by improving blood flow which in turn increases heart function so it can work more effectively.
Ranx may be used to treat other conditions as prescribed by your physician.
Dosage and administration
Correct dosage will vary depending on the individual patient and severity of the condition being treated. Never self-medicate or adjust your dosage by yourself.
The maximum recommended dose for any 24 hour period is 1000mg.
Tablets should be swallowed whole, without chewing, splitting, or dissolving into water.
Side effects
Common side effects may include headaches, dizziness, weakness, dry mouth, ringing ears, nausea, stomach pains, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation. Report any side effects experienced to your physician.
More serious side effects requiring immediate medical attention include:
- Shakes
- Tremors
- Numb sensations
- Tingling sensations
- Weak muscles
- Fainting
- Edema
- Swelling
- Difficulty breathing
- Abnormal bruising or bleeding
- Changes to your heartbeat
- Changes to your urine or urination
Precautions
Ranx is not safe for all patients. Inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and be sure to provide full details of any of the following listed below.
Any health conditions or illnesses you suffer from, especially liver or kidney diseases, heart rhythm or stomach disorders, infections, HIV or AIDS, seizures, mental illnesses or disorders, any undiagnosed pain, any cancers, or long QT syndrome.
Any allergies or hypersensitivities you have.
