Uses
Ridaura (Auranofin) is used to treat both progressive and destructive forms of inflammatory arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis. Other conditions which patient's may be prescribed this medication for include Felty's syndrome, psoriatic arthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. If you have any questions about the types of arthritis which are proven to benefit from this medication, you should consult your physician.
Dosage and Administration
A typical dosage of Ridaura (Auranofin) is 3mg, taken twice a day. Unless otherwise advised, tablets should be swallowed whole without being chewed, crushed, split, or dissolved into a drink. Wash tablets down with a large glass of water.
Side effects
Possible side effects which may be experienced while taking Ridaura (Auranofin) include:
- Diarrhea
- Loose stool
- Inflamed skin
- Itchiness
- Metallic tastes
- Mouth sores

Precautions
