Serzone inhibits serotonin reuptake and blocks one type of serotonin receptor. Serzone is used to treat moderate to severe symptoms of major depression. Dosage The recommended starting dose of Serzone for most patients is 100 mg taken twice daily. Serzone may be taken with or without food. Take Serzone at the same time every day exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Side effects Its most common side effects include drowsiness, nausea, dizziness or lightheadedness, weakness, dry mouth, and constipation. Usually, these side effects diminish or disappear within the first few weeks of taking the drug. Taking Serzone with food can help reduce nausea.
