Use
Voltaren is used to relieve the symptoms of arthritis. It is also used to relieve pain caused by different conditions. Voltaren may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your physician.
Dosage
Follow the directions for using Voltaren provided by your physician. Swallow whole. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing. Take Voltaren with food or milk.
Side Effects
Side effects, that may go away during treatment, include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gas, constipation, indigestion, stomach cramps, dizziness, drowsiness, or headache. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your physician. Check with your physician as soon as possible if you experience swelling of hands or ankles, ringing in ears, fatigue, itching, yellow eyes or skin, flu-symptoms, vomiting material that looks like coffee grounds, blood in stool or vomit, or stomach pain. Contact your physician immediately if you experience swelling of hands, face, lips, eyes, throat, or tongue; difficulty swallowing or breathing; or hoarseness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician, nurse, or pharmacist.
Precautions
Before you begin taking any new medicine either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your physician or pharmacist. This includes aspirin and other non-prescription pain relievers. If, after taking aspirin, you experienced difficulty breathing, check with your physician before taking this medicine. Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine, unless you first discuss this with your physician. This medicine may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine.
